A Season-Best Performance from Jett Taylor Leads Grand Saline over Edgewood
Grand Saline was led to victory by Jett Taylor, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Taylor's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 184 rushing yards dating back to last season. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making six total tackles and defending a pass in addition to snagging an interception which he returned one-yard for a touchdown.
The win for Grand Saline keeps them at an undefeated 6-0. Taylor and Grand Saline will challenge Chisum at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Grand Saline picked up their sixth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Colt Boyd. Boyd's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 126 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Quitman Gets a Boost from Meadows in 28-25 Victory
Klayton Meadows's rushing tear continued on Friday as he dropped his sixth-straight game with 101+ rushing yards dating back to last season. He rushed for 141 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 160 yards and a touchdown on only 14 passes.
On the year, Meadows has thrown 3 touchdowns while averaging 117.8 passing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after five games last season, he was only averaging 0.2 passing yards per game.

Lucas Pippin's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Edgewood over Grand Saline
While Lucas Pippin delivered a dominant performance on Friday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Edgewood. Pippin was unstoppable, rushing for 232 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.3 yards per carry. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 60 yards.

The victory for Lone Oak keeps them at an undefeated 6-0. Johnson and Lone Oak will take on Quitman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
