Basketball Recap: Gambell Piles Up the Points Against Aniguiin

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Gambell). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Aniguiin Eagles 91-51. The win continues a trend for the King Polar Bear in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won five in a row.

Gambell was led to victory by Jarvis Campbell-Soonagrook and Tristan Campbell. Campbell-Soonagrook posted 29 points, while Campbell put up 25 points. With that strong performance, Campbell-Soonagrook is now averaging an impressive 17.2 points per game. Another player making a difference was Damian Campbell-Newhall, who scored 13 points.

The victory got Gambell back to even at 2-2. As for Aniguiin, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Gambell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Aniguiin, they will head out to square off against Brevig Mission on Friday. Brevig Mission has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
