Hi-Plains added to the longest winning streak in A-6 Central (6 Man) this week by beating Hanover, 60-6. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Patriots.
Hi-Plains took down the Hornets 60-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Alex Nelson ran for 104 yards during the win.
Terry Nation made the biggest impact on defense this week as Otis fell to Prairie. The 5-foot-10 senior grabbed 2 sacks.
Nation was a passing and rushing force as the Bulldogs lost to the Mustangs. He completed 6 passes for 116 yards and also ran for 24 yards. Nation's key target this week was Tanner Pflager, who caught 6 passes for 98 yards.
Riley Marzolf and Nelson gave Dave Sheffield's team a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Marzolf threw for 74 yards and 1 touchdown, while Nelson ran for 104 yards. Clay Cordell also contributed to the rushing game with 72 yards on the ground.
The Patriots' Logan Henry and Justin Miltenberger have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-10 quarterback Henry has thrown for 644 yards this season, while Miltenberger has 17 catches for 321 yards. Eli Palser from Otis leads the league in rushing with 1,767 yards.
Hi-Plains' Cordell needs only 73 yards against Eads next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 74 carries Cordell has accumulated 927 yard this year.
The Patriots led the league in scoring this week after putting up 60 points on Hanover. Nelson in the win.
