The Galloway Scots's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They suffered a tough 76-53 loss at the hands of Mt. Bethel Christian Academy. While losing is never fun, Galloway can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 348th, while Mt. Bethel Christian Academy is ranked 87th).
Despite the defeat, Galloway had strong showings from Ben Howery, who scored 13 points, and Grant Patrick, who scored 7 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals. Vaughn Murphy was another key contributor, scoring 9 points along with 5 rebounds.
The last time Galloway won on the road was back last Saturday. Having now lost three straight away matches, they've bumped their record down to 1-7. As for Mt. Bethel Christian Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Galloway will take on Woodward Academy at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Woodward Academy is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 74 points per game. As for Mt. Bethel Christian Academy, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on The Weber School at 7:30 p.m. on December 5th.
