The New Milford Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Hawthorne Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. New Milford is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
Last Saturday, New Milford came up short against St. Mary and fell 28-21.
The losing side was boosted by Jerzey Ryan, who threw for 235 yards and two touchdowns while completing 76.9% of his passes.
Meanwhile, Hawthorne was able to grind out a solid win over Lyndhurst on Friday, taking the game 20-13.
Hawthorne's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cormac Smith led the charge by rushing for 105 yards and a touchdown.
St. Mary's victory bumped their season record to 5-4 while New Milford's loss dropped theirs to 3-5.
New Milford was dealt a bruising 40-7 loss at the hands of Hawthorne in their previous matchup back in October of 2022. Can New Milford avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
