The Trinity Christian Academy Eagles will challenge the Geneva Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Trinity Christian Academy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. Everything went their way against Altamonte Christian as they made off with a 20-4 victory. Trinity Christian Academy has beaten Altamonte Christian the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest Altamonte Christian has come to flipping the script.

Melany Martinez and Kay'La Jones did most of the damage at the plate: Martinez went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple, while Jones went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Those two stolen bases gave Martinez a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Nataly Martinez, who went 1-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Trinity Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .704. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Altamonte Christian only posted an OBP of .500.
Meanwhile, Geneva never let their opponents score on Wednesday. They blew past New Smyrna Beach 13-0. Winning may never get old, but the Knights sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Bella Ortiz made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Chloe Incinelli, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with five RBI, three runs, and two doubles. Eden Bastian was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one double.
Geneva's win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-3. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Trinity Christian Academy, their record now sits at 16-5.
Trinity Christian Academy's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's matchup. The Eagles have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.8 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Geneva, though, as they've been averaging only 1.2 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Trinity Christian Academy continue to outrun the ball?
Trinity Christian Academy might still be hurting after the 17-2 loss they got from Geneva in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
