The Grandview Wolves will square off against the Highlands Ranch Falcons at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Grandview's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last four games.
Grandview is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Legacy 16-9 on Tuesday. Considering the Wolves have won four contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Chase Chapman made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Chapman was even better at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

In other batting news, Kyler Vaughn was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kayden Bohmeyer, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one RBI.
Grandview was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .382. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .382 or higher in four consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Highlands Ranch faced off against Highland on Saturday. Highlands Ranch lost 10-2 to Highland. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Falcons have suffered since April 29, 2024.
Highlands Ranch saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Garrett Williams, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double. That triple marked the first that Williams hit this season. Ayden Wells was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Grandview's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Highlands Ranch, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
Wednesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Grandview hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .397. However, it's not like Highlands Ranch struggles in that department as they've averaged .317. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
