Bishop O'Connell is 7-2 against Bishop Ireton since September of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Bishop O'Connell Knights will be playing at home against the Bishop Ireton Cardinals at 12:00 p.m.

Meanwhile, Bishop Ireton was able to grind out a solid victory over Paul VI on Saturday, taking the game 26-14. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Bishop Ireton.
Omar Diallo was on fire: he rushed for 159 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries, and also threw for 119 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 passes. Diallo really tore up the turf during one magnificent 74-yard run.
Bishop O'Connell has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Bishop Ireton, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.
Bishop O'Connell came out on top in a nail-biter against Bishop Ireton when the teams last played back in October of 2022, sneaking past 10-7. Will Bishop O'Connell repeat their success, or does Bishop Ireton have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
