Clinton had to endure a 15-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They skirted past the East Columbus Gators 56-53. The Dark Horses' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Clinton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Anyahs Butler led the charge by going 6 for 14 on his way to 16 points and three steals. Butler has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Henry Bass was another key player, going 5 of 9 on his way to 10 points and five rebounds.

Clinton's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for East Columbus, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clinton will host Union at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for East Columbus, they will look to defend their home court on January 3, 2025 against South Columbus at 7:30 p.m.
