Cristo Rey Fort Worth lost against Victory Christian Academy in their previous head to head back in January of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 76-12 score last time.
Victory Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jerran Martin, who scored 20 points along with five steals. Bryson Brown was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Cristo Rey Fort Worth's defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-1. As for Victory Christian Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-7.
Cristo Rey Fort Worth will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Burton Adventist Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 18th. As for Victory Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against Heritage Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Heritage Christian Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
