The Hillsboro Hiltoppers waltzed into Wednesday's contest with two straight wins but they left with three. They claimed a resounding 50-22 victory over Marquette Catholic at home. That's another feather in the cap for Hillsboro, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Hillsboro found their leader in underclassman Kearstynn Davis, who scored 15 points along with 5 assists and 5 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Amya Greenwood, who scored 11 points.
Hillsboro's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Marquette Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
Hillsboro will face off against Nokomis at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. Marquette Catholic will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Father McGivney Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on December 7th. Father McGivney Catholic is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 50.7 points per game.
