REDDING, Calif. -
Chaminade (West Hills, Calif.) snapped the 13-game winning streak of Enterprise (Redding, Calif.), with a 41-9 victory on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown in the second quarter, the Eagles were up 24-3 at the half.
Chaminade grew its lead to 31 points entering the fourth quarter. CHS scored two times in the third, including once on a field goal by Kreitenberg.
A 21-point second quarter helped the West Hills school secure the big victory. The Eagles scored on a touchdown pass by
Brad Kaaya to
Brayden Lenius, a
Donovan Lee touchdown run and a defensive touchdown in the quarter.
Enterprise's lone touchdown came on a 7-yard pass from Chase Turner to Justin Abney in the fourth quarter.
The Hornets came in allowing just 15.8 points per game this season. Enterprise struggled against Chaminade's offense, which entered the game scoring 36.1 points per game. Coming into the game CHS had allowed 22.7 points per game this year. A defensively strong the West Hills school kept EHS well below the 40.5 points it had been averaging per game.
The loss comes after Enterprise defeated Manteca 27-21 last week.
