On Tuesday, the Delaware Military Academy Seahawks faced the Hodgson Vo-Tech Eagles in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Delaware Military Academy came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 45-34. The win made it back-to-back wins for Delaware Military Academy.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Thailys Torres, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Sanaa Saunders young, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds.
Delaware Military Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Hodgson Vo-Tech, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Delaware Military Academy's homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Mustangs at 5:15 p.m. on February 1st. MOT Charter will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Delaware Rankings (they are ranked 52nd, while the Seahawks are ranked tenth). As for Hodgson Vo-Tech, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Ravens at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
