The Meridian Warriors will square off against the Ridgevue Warhawks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meridian has given up an average of 8.8 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
On Friday, Meridian needed a bit of extra time to put away Borah. They walked away with a 27-22 win over the Lions. The Warriors' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Maddie Clark was incredible, firing off two home runs, ten RBI, and three runs while going 4-for-7. Those ten RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jillian Dunkle, who scored four runs and stole two bases while going 4-for-7.
Clark wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Meridian lost a few balls and finished the game with four home runs. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Borah only launched one home run.
Meanwhile, Ridgevue was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 21st straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 15-3 to Boise.
Ridgevue saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hannah Rogers, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2. Bristol Baron also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
Meridian's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Ridgevue, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-13.
Ridgevue's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Meridian has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.5 hits per game. It's a different story for Ridgevue, though, as they've been averaging 11.4 hits. Given Meridian's sizable advantage in that area, the Warhawks will need to find a way to close that gap.
