The Rhea County Golden Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the East Hamilton Hurricanes at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Last Friday, Rhea County ended up a good deal behind Tyner Academy and lost 48-30.
The losing side was boosted by Hunter Crowe, who rushed for 109 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries. Ethan Davis also helped out as he racked up 116 rushing yards.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, East Hamilton's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 28-7 walloping at the hands of Sevier County.
Rhea County now has a losing record at 4-5. As for East Hamilton, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.
Everything came up roses for Rhea County against East Hamilton when the teams last played back in October of 2014 as the squad secured a 42-14 win. Does Rhea County have another victory up their sleeve, or will East Hamilton turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
