Winfield are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against St. Charles West on Friday at 7:00 PM. St. Charles West will need to watch out since Winfield have now posted big point totals in their last three contests.
Winfield were putting the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. They took the matchup and then some with a 61-0 win last week over Confluence Prep Academy. Senior Collin Sutton was the offensive standout of the match for Winfield, as he rushed for 90 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Meanwhile, St. Charles West were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap, as they fell 28-34 to Fort Zumwalt East.
Winfield's victory lifted them to 3-0 while St. Charles West's loss dropped them down to 1-2. We'll find out if Winfield can add another positive mark to their record or if St. Charles West can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Winfield's step.
