Skyline and Sherando are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Hawks will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Skyline barely beat Handley the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Hawks put the hurt on the Judges with a sharp 14-7 win on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Hawks in their matchups with the Judges: they've now won six in a row.

Kaiden Brown made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2025. He was even better at the plate, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Cameron Kerns was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Joey Pendleton, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Skyline hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Handley struck out ten times.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last matchup, Sherando made sure to put some runs up on the board against Warren County on Tuesday. The Warriors blew past the Wildcats 12-6. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by six runs or more this season.
Skyline's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Sherando, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.
