The Fort Stockton Panthers had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 36-26 victory over Monahans on Friday. The win was just what Fort Stockton needed coming off of a 97-22 defeat in their prior contest.
It was another big night for Amaya Urias, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds and three steals. She is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. Kimbree Norman was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Fort Stockton's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 14-15. As for Monahans, they dropped their record down to 4-25 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
Fort Stockton will take on the Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Monahans does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
