IDEA Sports Park's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a serious blow against Lyford, falling 50-19. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for IDEA Sports Park in their matchups with Lyford: they've now lost three in a row.
Meanwhile, after only 17 points in their last contest, Progreso made sure to put some points up on the board against IDEA Riverview on Tuesday. Progreso claimed a resounding 58-17 win over IDEA Riverview at home. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 31-7.
It was another big night for Sophia Pecina, who shot 6-for-7 from deep and almost dropped a triple-double on 33 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists. The match was her 16th in a row with at least ten points. Alexa Galvan was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with six steals.
IDEA Sports Park bumped their record down to 0-2 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Progreso, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
IDEA Sports Park was dealt a bruising 51-23 defeat at the hands of Progreso when the teams last played back in January. Can IDEA Sports Park avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
