Baseball Recap: Ayersville's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Ayersville had lost four games straight , but after bumping their record up to 5-8 on Friday that streak is in the rearview. They came out on top against the Continental Pirates by a score of 8-5. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-4 back in April.

As for Continental, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9-1 record this season. They just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

For Continental's part, they saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rhettik Bowers, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Adin Daisy also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ayersville will square off against Elmwood at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Continental, they will venture away from home to take on Hicksville at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
