The Cortez Colts can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Coronado with a sharp 75-51 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Cortez.
Cortez's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Devan Fowler, who scored 27 points. That makes it six consecutive games in which Fowler has scored at least a third of Cortez's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ulysses Espinoza, who scored 19 points along with three steals.
Cortez is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season. As for Coronado, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-13.
