Godley's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Godley Wildcats who were credited with the win. The Godley Wildcats got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Ferris Yellowjackets's three. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wildcats also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

Godley's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-5. As for Ferris, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.

Godley wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Kennedale on the 14th. As for Ferris, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 1-0 defeat against Alvarado on the 14th.
