Badger hasn't had much luck against Bristol recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Braves will face off against the Panthers at 5:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
While Badger's win against Harding wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Braves skirted past the Skippers 10-9. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Braves' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.
Meanwhile, while Bristol put up plenty of runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Harding. The Panthers blew past the Skippers 11-0. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by six runs or more this season.
Bristol got a great performance from Laverene Miller as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Miller also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because the Panthers are 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-5 otherwise.
At the plate, Diesel Williams and Keifer Swager did most of the damage at the plate: Williams went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI, while Swager went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most stolen bases Williams has posted since back in May of 2024. Brock Pierce also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Bristol was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Harding only posted a batting average of .067.
The victory got Bristol back to even at 6-6. As for Badger, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-8.
Badger might still be hurting after the 18-0 loss they got from Bristol in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Braves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
