Even though the Tamaqua Blue Raiders scored an imposing 66 points on Wednesday, the North Schuylkill Spartans still came out on top. North Schuylkill took their matchup against Tamaqua 74-66. That's another feather in the cap for North Schuylkill, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
It was another big night for Jack Keiter, who scored 31 points along with six rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Zane Zulkowski, who scored 18 points along with nine rebounds and six assists.
North Schuylkill pushed their record up to 10-5 with that victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points per game. As for Tamaqua, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.
North Schuylkill will head out on the road to square off against Kutztown on Saturday. Kutztown will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 632nd, while North Schuylkill is ranked 288th). As for Tamaqua, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pottsville at 4:45 p.m. on Saturday. Pottsville is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
