The Chantilly Chargers lost against the Westfield Bulldogs back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Chantilly took a 62-48 bruising from Westfield.
When it comes to explaining why Chantilly lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ivan So. Despite the final result, he scored 17 points. That's the first time this season that So scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Swindell, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds.
Westfield's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but William Robinson led the charge by scoring 14 points. Another player making a difference was Jemon Price, who scored 16 points.
Chantilly's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Westfield, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Chantilly will head out on the road to take on South Lakes at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. South Lakes will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak alive. Westfield will take on Oakton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Oakton is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
