Basketball Recap: Josiah Delgado's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Liberty Baptist Academy over Pahranagat Valley

Liberty Baptist Academy entered their game against Pahranagat Valley on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Liberty Baptist Academy Knights lost to the Pahranagat Valley Panthers at home by a 51-34 margin. If the Knights were looking for revenge after losing 63-37 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Liberty Baptist Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Josiah Delgado, who posted four points along with 11 boards and seven blocks. Delgado is crushing it when it comes to boards: he's pulled down at least 11 every time he's taken the court this season. Brandon Kiel was another key player, putting up ten points and six rebounds.

Liberty Baptist Academy's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-3. As for Pahranagat Valley, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Liberty Baptist Academy will face off against Beaver Dam at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pahranagat Valley, they will square off against Sandy Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
