After a string of three wins, the Spokane Owls's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a serious blow against Clever, falling 69-30. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Spokane has scored all season.
Clever got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ireland Jones out in front who scored 21 points along with six assists and five steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Jones has scored at least 25% of Clever's points. Another player making a difference was Jayleign Flood, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Spokane's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-7. As for Clever, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.
Spokane will head out on the road to face off against New Covenant Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Clever, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Logan-Rogersville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
