The Liberty Lions extended their postseason success on Saturday against the Centennial Coyotes. They came out on top against the Coyotes by a score of 33-21. Winning may never get old, but Liberty sure is getting used to it with their eighth in a row.
It was another big night for Navi Bruzon, who rushed for 110 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 174 yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Jezioro, who picked up 70 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Another reason for the win was Liberty's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for 3.5 sacks. Leading the way was Keaton Stam and his two sacks.
Despite the loss, Centennial saw an underclassman step up: Kainan Manna threw for 217 yards and two touchdowns.
Liberty pushed their record up to 12-1 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home. As for Centennial, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-2.
Liberty does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Centennial also has no future games currently scheduled.
