Eau Gallie is a perfect 10-0 against Palm Bay since February of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Commodores will host the Pirates at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Eau Gallie has four straight victories, Palm Bay has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Eau Gallie had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 14-run drubbing they dealt Merritt Island on Tuesday. The Commodores were the clear victors by a 16-2 margin over the Mustangs. The result was nothing new for the Commodores, who have now won three matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Jordan Stout made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 6.3 strikeouts per game. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2025.
In other batting news, Shyla Eppert and Leah 'Spike' Pechart did most of the damage at the plate: Eppert went 3-for-5 with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Pechart went 4-for-6 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave Pechart a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Teply, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with three RBI, one run, and one double.
Eau Gallie kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Palm Bay unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 26-1 to Cocoa Beach last Tuesday.
Eau Gallie's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Palm Bay, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Everything went Eau Gallie's way against Palm Bay in their previous matchup back in March of 2025, as Eau Gallie made off with a 27-0 victory. Do the Commodores have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Pirates turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
