The Half Hollow Hills East Thunderbirds had to start their season on the road on Sunday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They were outmatched by Conwell-Egan Catholic on the road and fell 78-45.
Conwell-Egan Catholic's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brianna Mcfadden, who went 6 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 20 points and 3 assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Milewski, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds.
Half Hollow Hills East's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Conwell-Egan Catholic, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Half Hollow Hills East does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Conwell-Egan Catholic will head out on the road to face off against Villa Joseph Marie at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
