Emporia was led to victory by Nolan Jacob and River Peters. Jacob scored 15 points along with two steals, while Peters scored 17 points along with seven rebounds. It was the first time this season that Jacob scored 15 or more points. Sheldon Stewart was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with nine assists and three steals.
Hayden dropped their record down to 4-12 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Emporia, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

As for Emporia, they will head out on the road to challenge Topeka at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Emporia is facing Topeka at the right time seeing as Topeka is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
