North Central waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Ben Davis Giants a 10-0 shutout. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by six runs or more this season.

The result came thanks to Tristan Wilson's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Rykin Matthias was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two triples, two runs, and one stolen base. Those two triples gave him a new career-high. Tyler Jaynes was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

North Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ben Davis only posted an OBP of .100.

North Central's record now sits at 13-5. As for Ben Davis, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.

North Central will have a chance to go back-to-back against Ben Davis: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
