The Hercules Titans will square off against the Swett Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Tuesday, Hercules made easy work of Emery and carried off an 18-6 victory.
Jazabellaa Cabrera was excellent, getting on base in three of her six plate appearances with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Jaida Flores, who went 2-for-5 with one home run.
They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Hercules lost a few balls and finished the game with five home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Swett had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They put the hurt on the Oilers with a sharp 20-7 win.
Rebekah Millan was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. Millan was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Swett got a massive performance out of Sanaia Tuuu, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Selene Schlepp was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Swett pushed their record up to 10-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.3 runs over those games. As for Hercules, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7-1 record this season.
Hercules suffered a grim 22-9 defeat to Swett in their previous meeting back in March. Will the Titans have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
