The Weeki Wachee Hornets lost against the Hernando Leopards back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Weeki Wachee was the victim of a tough 34-12 defeat at the hands of Hernando. Weeki Wachee has struggled against Hernando recently, as their game on Friday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
When it comes to explaining why Weeki Wachee lost, one person who can't be blamed is Alex Wilson. Despite the final result, he picked up 135 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Wilson's longest reception was for an incredible 80 yards.
It was another big night for John Capel iii, who rushed for 378 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.8 yards per carry.
Weeki Wachee now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Hernando, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-6.
Weeki Wachee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Hernando also has no future games currently scheduled.
