Live Oak has gone 8-2 against Piedmont Hills recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Acorns will be playing in front of their home fans against the Pirates at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Piedmont Hills will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Live Oak extended their winning streak to three on Monday. Everything went the Acorns' way against Pioneer as they made off with a 13-1 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Acorns considering their one-run performance the match before.

Eden Svoboda

Eden Svoboda was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Cc Garcia was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Live Oak kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pioneer only managed two hits.
Meanwhile, after only one run in their last contest, Piedmont Hills made sure to put some runs up on the board against Silver Creek on Tuesday. The Pirates blew past the Raiders 12-2.
Alicia Valladarez spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ava Delagrande, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Isabella Paskert, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Live Oak pushed their record up to 21-2 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Piedmont Hills, their win bumped their record up to 17-5.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Live Oak has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Piedmont Hills struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Live Oak beat Piedmont Hills 6-1 when the teams last played back in April. Do the Acorns have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Pirates turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
