After low-scoring totals in their previous three matchup, Laker brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Vassar Vulcans an 11-0 shutout on Thursday. The Lakers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by eight runs or more this season.

Laker's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-5-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Vassar, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.
