The Zanesville Christian Warriors lost against the Gilead Christian Eagles back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Zanesville Christian lost to Gilead Christian on the road by a decisive 61-46 margin. Zanesville Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Gilead Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Diesel Myers out in front who scored 21 points along with eight rebounds. It was the first time this season that Myers pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Denim Myers, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 15 rebounds.
Zanesville Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Gilead Christian, their win bumped their record up to 14-6.
Zanesville Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Gilead Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 44-20 victory vs. Senedot Stripes on the 10th.
