The Sherando Warriors will venture away from home to challenge the Warren County Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sherando is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.1 runs per game this season.

On Friday, Sherando narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Skyline 5-3.

Sherando got a great performance from Aubrey Weir as she didn't allow a single earned run over 4.1 innings pitched. Weir has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Sherando saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kendra Chunta, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Sherando hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Skyline struck out six times.

Meanwhile, Warren County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Liberty, falling 15-4.

Sherando has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.1 runs on average over those games. As for Warren County, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.

Warren County's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Sherando has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.2 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Warren County, though, as they've been averaging only 1.5 strikeouts. Will Sherando keep running through batters, or will the Wildcats buck the trend?

Everything went Sherando's way against Warren County when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Sherando made off with an 11-0 victory. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
