The Swansea Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They fell just short of Edisto by a score of 25-22. Swansea lost against Edisto in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 27-26 score last time.
Edisto got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ashante Johnson out in front who scored ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of De'myah Simmons, who scored seven points.
Swansea bumped their record down to 2-6 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Edisto, their win bumped their record up to 4-7.
Swansea won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Pelion at 6:00 p.m. on January 5th. Pelion is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for Edisto, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Barnwell at 6:00 p.m.
