On Saturday, Hebron Academy were out to avenge their 0-26 defeat to Dexter from the last time they squared off against one another, but they had no such luck. Hebron Academy found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 12-42 punch to the gut against Dexter. The result was totally at odds with the teams' state rankings as Hebron Academy enjoys a hefty 129 spot advantage. This was the first contest for both squads, starting Hebron Academy off on the wrong foot at 0-1, while giving Dexter a 1-0 record.
Hebron Academy will be staying on the road next week, facing off against Portsmouth Abbey. Both of those teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'. As for Dexter, they will face off against Cushing Academy. Dexter will be strutting in after a victory while Cushing Academy will be stumbling in from a loss.
