After flying high against the Clark Chargers last Thursday, the Arbor View Aggies came back down to earth. Arbor View was outmatched by Centennial at home and fell 92-29. While losing is never fun, Arbor View can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nevada basketball rankings (they are ranked 26th, while Centennial is ranked second).
Several Aggies players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Talyiah Mckinney, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
Arbor View has fallen quite a ways from their 16-7 record last season and are now at 5-8. As for Centennial, their victory was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Arbor View will take on Las Vegas at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Las Vegas comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Centennial, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Faith Lutheran at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Faith Lutheran has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
