Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Arizona Lutheran Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Owen Beilke, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Beilke has scored all season. Luis Guerrero was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with seven assists and seven steals.
Meanwhile, Phoenix Country Day strolled past the Heat with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 69-51. Given Phoenix Country Day's advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 86th, while the Heat are ranked 242nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Arizona Lutheran Academy is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 23-3 record this season. As for Phoenix Country Day, they pushed their record up to 15-4 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.
