Even though the Oak Hills Highlanders have not done well against the Princeton Vikings recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Oak Hills snuck past Princeton with a 54-48 victory. For Oak Hills, this counts as revenge for the 41-33 loss Princeton walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.
Oak Hills was led to victory by Henry Maginn and Nate Riep. Maginn scored 18 points along with two steals, while Riep scored 18 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Maginn continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Bobby Stidham, who scored nine points.
Oak Hills now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Princeton, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 6-5.
Oak Hills will be playing at home against Mason at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Princeton, they will head out on the road to square off against Fairfield at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Fairfield will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 258th, while Princeton is ranked 101st).
