St. Croix Falls has gone 6-1 against Ashland recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Saints will square off against the Oredockers at 4:00 p.m. St. Croix Falls' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so Ashland's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
St. Croix Falls will bounce into Thursday's game after beating Northwestern, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Saints put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 13-2 win on Tuesday. That looming 13-2 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Saints yet this season.
Faith Allram made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI.

In other batting news, St. Croix Falls let Claire Bradt and Madi Johnson run wild. Bradt got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI, while Johnson went 1-for-2 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Those four RBI gave Johnson a new career-high. Evelyn Lindbloom also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
St. Croix Falls always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .576. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Ashland came up short against Cumberland on Tuesday, falling 11-5. The Oredockers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Tatiana Kraft and Serenity Cousins did some serious damage despite the final result: Kraft went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base, while Cousins went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Molly Meske, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.
Ashland's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for St. Croix Falls, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-5.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. St. Croix Falls has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Ashland struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
St. Croix Falls got the 'W' when the teams last played back in May of 2025 against Ashland by a conclusive 15-1 score. Will the Saints repeat their success, or do the Oredockers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
