The Rushville-Industry Rockets pushed their score all the way to 58 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Astoria/VIT by a score of 61-58. Rushville-Industry lost against Astoria/VIT in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 47-27 score last time.

That makes it two consecutive games in which GORSUCH has scored at least 25% of Astoria/VIT's points. KATE STAMBAUGH was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 10 points and 12 rebounds.
Rushville-Industry's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Astoria/VIT, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rushville-Industry will challenge Mendon Unity at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Mendon Unity presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Rushville-Industry in Illinois (Mendon Unity is ranked 155th, while Rushville-Industry is ranked 501st). As for Astoria/VIT, they will head out on the road to face off against Farmington at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Farmington comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
