Wheeler had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.2 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They put the hurt on the Baldwyn Bearcats with a sharp 12-2 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 21-6 on March 6th.

Wheeler's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.8 runs over those games. As for Baldwyn, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-6.

Wheeler didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Booneville on the 22nd. As for Baldwyn, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Baldwyn Bearcats face off against Biggersville Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
