North Broward Prep has been on the road for five straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on The American Heritage Stallions at 6:00 a.m. on Friday. American Heritage took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on North Broward Prep, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, North Broward Prep was able to grind out a solid victory over Pine Crest, taking the game 27-20.
North Broward Prep relied on the efforts of Mason Chapman, who threw for 206 yards and a touchdown while completing 84% of his passes, and Anthony Mestre, who gained 85 total yards and two touchdowns.
Another reason for the win was North Broward Prep's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. Pine Crest's QB won't forget Cory Brown anytime soon given Brown sacked him four times.
Meanwhile, American Heritage's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 27-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of Boynton Beach.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Mason Kasten, who threw for 213 yards and two touchdowns. Peyton Surtain was another key contributor, picking up 107 receiving yards and a touchdown.
North Broward Prep's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for American Heritage, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 3-6.
Everything came up roses for North Broward Prep against American Heritage when the teams last played back in November of 2022 as the squad secured a 44-10 victory.
