Aubri Falls made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with five RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Katelynn Blethen, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Erin Fennell, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Zephyrhills Christian Academy hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hernando Christian Academy struck out eight times.
Meanwhile, Academy at the Lakes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 14-8 to Land O' Lakes.
Kiana Wright made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabby Little, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run.
Academy at the Lakes' loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Zephyrhills Christian Academy, their record is now 4-11.
