Holy Cross lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Emmanuel Doku, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. The matchup was Doku's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Samir Wellington, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
Trenton Catholic Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Holy Cross, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Trenton Catholic Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Burlington City at 5:30 p.m. on December 22nd. Burlington City is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. Holy Cross won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Pennsauken at 5:15 p.m. on December 21st.
