The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Mountain Ridge in their matchups with Fort Hill: they've now lost five in a row.
Mountain Ridge lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Owen McGeady, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. McGeady hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Cameron Breighner, who scored eight points along with six rebounds.
Mountain Ridge's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-9. As for Fort Hill, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-3.
Mountain Ridge will look to defend their home court on Friday against Clear Spring at 7:00 p.m. Clear Spring is coming into the matchup with seven straight defeats on the road, meaning Mountain Ridge will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win. As for Fort Hill, they will challenge Allegany at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fort Hill has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,029 points over their last 14 contests.
